Paris

So I got here on Sunday, and one of the first mistakes I made was to tell my French dad that the bathroom was in my suitcase. I live "with" a host family in an apartment really close to the Eiffel Tower. Here's a non-zoomed-in shot of it from the 3rd-floor window. I actually live on the 7th floor, while my host family lives on the 2nd. My room is awesome: it even has its own shower. It's also phenomenally clean compared to my room at Mudd last semester. I hope I can keep it that way. I like my family a lot: they're a married couple and their daughter. They also have a dog, which was pretty concerning until I saw that it's less than knee-high. The city is great and really fun to get lost in, which I've already done half-a-dozen times. Classes start next week, so I'll have some info on them the next time I post.

wait, so is the shower in its own room off your room or does your room just randomly have a shower in it?

Dude, youre on the 7th floor by the Eiffel Tower?!?!?!?! I have to say, if I was in France, that is where Id want to be.
Why are you on the 7th floor, and your family on the 2nd?
And how old is the daughter? ;)

Matt, it's good to hear from you! It's awesome that your accommodations include a view of the Eiffel Tower. However, that photograph you took is under copyright and cannot be redistributed without permission

Is it possible for the government, which is by definition a public entity, to obtain a copyright, which by definition cannot be applied to something within the public domain? A curious paradox.

Oh, and hey Matt.

I mean, Bonjour Matheiu. Ou est le bibliotheque? Voila mon passport!
